The family whose forefathers once found their safe haven in the city of Solan, with time in order to setup the business, relocated to New Delhi and with ever flourishing business became one of the most affluent families of those times. However, the roots being well preserved in the city of Solan, the longing to return to the city never faded and the generations after generations were narrated the story of the city of Solan which constantly reminded them of their roots. Therefore, derived from the passion to return to the city to which the family belonged, we are here to offer you a lifetime experience through Sylvan Resorts. The Sylvan Resort is intended to be run not by the idea of commercialism but a passion to give our guests the incredible experience.
Container Rooms
We aim to provide you with a unique experience with your stay in rooms build on shipping container concept. First of its kind in North India, we bring to you an eco-friendly structure situated in amidst of pine forest. Not only does the structure blend with the surroundings but does also preserve the sylvan feel of the area.
The containers are stacked to form a three floor structure in a manner to provide each of the room with an unobstructed view of the valley and Uttarkashi ranges. With temperature touching as low as (-)5 degrees in winters, the rooms are well insulated with rich pine wood to keep you cozy and warm throughout. All the rooms have attached balconies and, the rooms situated at the ground floor, apart from having balcony, opens to lush green gardens and the pine wood forest.
The balconies open to a pleasant breeze and full view of the Chail Wildlife Sanctuary as well as Himalayan and Churdhar Ranges. With maximum temperature touching 26 degrees in summer afternoons, the evenings however are relatively colder at 11-13 degrees, the weather remains pleasant throughout the summers.
Apart from container rooms, we also offer two exclusive mud huts. The mud huts are further placed on an elevated area and comes with personal patio as well as small personal garden.
All rooms provide you with your personal space, to relax and enjoy the great view of Himalayan snow-covered mountains and, bright-yet -not harsh sun for you to bask in.
